The flawless harmony of Antonio Vivaldi’s Italian Baroque, the sensuality of Astor Piazzolla’s Argentine tango, and the passion of Israeli musicians will come together on the stage of an ancient Armenian monastery in Jaffa.
On an open terrace above the Mediterranean Sea, the program “The Four Seasons” will be performed by the Lumina Trio. Unique arrangements for violin, cello, and piano will allow audiences to hear these famous works in a new way—emotional and strikingly modern.
Two eras, two musical worlds, one stage. The fiery rhythms of Piazzolla will intertwine with the lightness and transparency of Vivaldi. Instead of traditional concert halls—sunset over the sea, the flicker of hundreds of candles, and the ancient monastery walls preserving centuries of atmosphere.
Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” is filled with light and motion: spring streams, summer thunderstorms, golden autumn, and winter silence. Nearly three centuries later, Piazzolla created his own “Four Seasons”—passionate, temperamental, and urban. Instead of rural landscapes, there are the streets of Buenos Aires; instead of pastoral serenity—the energy of a great city, nostalgia, and tango.
Join us to experience sunset over the Mediterranean accompanied by two great musical masterpieces. On the rooftop of the ancient monastery in Jaffa, they will sound especially beautiful.
Performers - Lumina Trio
• Ilya Vulf (violin)
• Monica Broshko (piano)
• Igor Tankevich (cello)
Please note: the concert takes place outdoors on the grounds of an ancient seaside monastery. It may get chilly by the sea in the evening, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or something warm in case of cool weather.
Also, please be aware that there is no bar or café on the monastery grounds.
Entrance to the monastery is from the Jaffa promenade side, not through the Old City.
See you among the candles, music, and the evening sea ✨
