On the rooftop of an historic monastery in Jaffa, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the evening lights of Tel Aviv, the songs of two legendary singer-songwriters and pianists — Elton John and Billy Joel — will come to life.
For one special evening, the stage will be illuminated by hundreds of candles. Instead of a traditional concert hall, you’ll find an open sky, a sea horizon and centuries-old stone walls.
Tommer Hesseg and his band will perform Your Song, Rocket Man, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and other iconic Elton John songs that have become part of music history.
Just imagine the glow of hundreds of candles among ancient stone walls as Candle in the Wind fills the night air. Melodies known around the world drifting beneath the night sky of Jaffa. An evening of unforgettable ballads, romance, Tommer’s powerful voice and the sound of piano keys rising into the open sky.
The evening will continue with the music of Billy Joel: She's Always a Woman, Just the Way You Are, New York State of Mind and, of course, Piano Man.
Two artists who knew how to turn deeply personal stories into songs for millions. Two legendary voices of the piano. New York and London will meet for one unforgettable evening beneath the night sky of Old Jaffa.
It’s hard to imagine a more fitting setting for Rocket Man than a rooftop overlooking the sea — or a more beautiful light for Candle in the Wind than the glow of hundreds of candles.
Elton John & Billy Joel — Tribute Among Hundreds of Candles — music, sunset over the Mediterranean and a summer night on one of Tel Aviv’s most atmospheric rooftops.

Please note: the concert takes place outdoors on the grounds of an ancient seaside monastery. It may get chilly by the sea in the evening, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or something warm in case of cool weather.
Also, please be aware that there is no bar or café on the monastery grounds.
Entrance to the monastery is from the Jaffa promenade side, not through the Old City.
See you among the candles, music, and the evening sea ✨
