Tribute to Frank Sinatra by candlelight
Concert in an ancient monastery by the sea

📍Tel Aviv, Armenian Monastery in Jaffa Port
1 hour 10 min, from 160 ils

We invite you to a special evening — a tribute to the greatest voice of the 20th century. Hundreds of candles, a sea view from the monastery rooftop, and songs that can never be forgotten: Fly Me to the Moon, Strangers in the Night, My Way, Moon River, and many more.

On this evening, in an ancient Armenian monastery in Jaffa—where the air carries the scent of the sea and the city lights dissolve into the darkness—you will hear the legendary songs of Frank Sinatra. The hits we know and love will be performed live by a jazz band and vocalist Tommer Hesseg, whose voice captures the unmistakable style and charisma of the maestro.

The warm glow of hundreds of candles will create a unique atmosphere, and instead of a traditional concert hall, there will be an endless sky above and the distant sound of waves. This is not just a concert — it is a journey through time, where Sinatra’s music and voice meet the spirit of the place and a contemporary sound.

Together, we will sing Moon River and watch the moonlight shimmer across the Mediterranean Sea. Strangers in the Night will sound as the evening city fades into twilight. New York, New York will shine like the lights of sleepless Tel Aviv. And in the finale — My Way, a declaration of love for life and music.

Performers:
Vocals — Tommer Hesseg
Israeli singer, conductor, and composer. Holds a doctoral degree in music, a graduate of the Beit Zvi School of Performing Arts, and a soloist and conductor with leading ensembles in the country.
Jazz Band — Musicians of Sum Funny Orchestra
An ensemble bringing together performers with academic experience from leading theaters and philharmonic orchestras. Today, they are members of the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and active participants in Israel’s contemporary music scene.

Please note: the concert takes place outdoors on the grounds of an ancient seaside monastery. It may get chilly by the sea in the evening, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or something warm in case of cool weather.
Also, please be aware that there is no bar or café on the monastery grounds.
Entrance to the monastery is from the Jaffa promenade side, not through the Old City.
See you among the candles, music, and the evening sea ✨
