There is music that can transport you through time — to an era where Michael Jackson plays in the streets, synthesizers sound like the voice of the future, and every melody is an anthem to freedom, dreams, and first love.
At the Music Center Tel Aviv Yafo, the concert “Symphonic ’80s!” will take place. Modern Talking and Boney M., a-ha and ABBA, Tina Turner, Bad Boys Blue and many more! If you haven’t danced to Take On Me in a while, know You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul by heart, and your hands are already waiting for Life Is Life, then this concert is made just for you.
“Symphonic ’80s!” is a grand revival of the iconic music of the most dance-filled decade. The powerful sound of SumFunny Orchestra under the direction of maestro Daniil Kruglov, the elegant hall of the Music House, the vibrant voices of soloists, and the most legendary hits of the ’80s. You will experience the familiar songs on a new scale, with deep respect for the original arrangements. We are not trying to remake what we love. We want to give it new life — deep, sparkling, effervescent like champagne spray, and shining like the stars above on a cloudless night of our childhood. For one evening, you will return to an era of dancing, kindness, and faith that everything will be alright.
I Just Called to Say I Love You, Sunny, Billie Jean, Sweet Dreams, Venus — and other tickets back to childhood. And that is the greatest journey of all.
Performers
Sofi Chudnovski — jazz vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, dubbing actress (Netflix), vocal coach, soloist of the Haifa Big Band, resident artist of Gig House. Former soloist with St. Petersburg orchestras and head of the pop department at the Elena Obraztsova Academy of Music.
Arkady Fainitsky — frontman of Fainitsky Band, singer-songwriter and composer, Grand Prix winner of “Voice of the Year” by St. Petersburg’s leading vocal platform, performing internationally and collaborating with companies such as Activision Blizzard.
SymFunny Orchestra
An ensemble bringing together outstanding musicians who came to Israel from the Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky Theatres, the Moscow Philharmonic, and the Bolshoi Symphony Orchestra. Today they hold leading positions in the Haifa Symphony Orchestra.
Rhythm section: Daniil Kruglov, Stas Zilberman, Neri Topchiy — leading jazz musicians in Israel and residents of Gig House. SymFunny Orchestra unites the power of the academic school with the freedom of jazz improvisation, creating vibrant live energy on stage.
Doors open at 7:00 PM.
